Walking

It's a summer day. There is something gossamer and unreal about when the air passes over your skin and it is almost the same temperature as your body. You can walk, and where "you" end, and the rest of things begins becomes impossible to sense. Walking today, with mind empty and eyes closed, there is no separation. No other. Just one.

This is what meditation is - the absence of a you, just sensation and the sensing.

If you want to practice today, why not get out in the world? Empty your mind and seek somewhere tranquil to walk. Feel the pressure on the bottom of your feet as you slowly apply it. Try playing with the sounds outside. Are they all inside of mind? Outside? Where are your sensations with eyes closed? Are they coming from your body where "mind" is? Outside of your body? "Who" is sensing them?
